Andrée Vézina is passionate about the seasons and is strongly influenced by the different light in each, for they invite a strongly coloured response.  She paints scenes from "everyday life":  however, the artist lives through each work in turn and wishes to avoid "copying herself".  Her pictorial treatment is vigorously accentuated by acrylic paste applied with a palette knife.  She paints strongly, as the earth is ploughed, and leaves the traces of her passage.  For the collector, purchasing a Vézina means acquiring a unique work.
