Lucille Marcotte creates her paintings to be seen and to tell a story: however, if we are sufficiently sensitive, they can also be listened to. We can listen to the inaudibility of dreams, musings, silenced and held-back words, reflections furnishing secret gardens and un-confessed thoughts. The artist creates a latent dramatic tension that invites the spectator to discover what is going to happen outside of the picture.
Lucille Marcotte's work is very personal and emerges from her inner self.
